Marbled Chocolate Sour Cream Cake

1 cup (6 oz.) NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
1 package (18.5 oz.) yellow cake mix
4 large eggs
3/4 cup Sour cream
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional)
Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease 10-cup bundt or tube pan. Microwave morsels in medium, uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on high (100%) power for 1 minute; Stir. Morsels may retain some of their original shape. If necessary, microwave at additional 10 to 15-second intervals, stirring just until morsels are melted. Combine cake mix, eggs, sour cream, vegetable oil, water and granulated sugar in large mixer bowl. Beat on low speed until moistened. Beat on high speed for 2 minutes. Stir 2 cups batter into melted chocolate. Alternately spoon batters into prepared pan, beginning and ending with yellow batter. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in cake comes out clean. Cool in pan for 20 minutes; invert onto wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Strawberries and Cream Cake

2 3/4 cups cake flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2 cups white sugar
1 (3 ounce) package strawberry flavored gelatin
1 cup butter, softened
4 eggs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1/2 cup strawberries, pureed
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
1/2 cup margarine, softened
1 (8 ounce) package Cream cheese, softened
4 cups confectioners sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups quartered strawberries
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour three 9 inch round cake pans. In a large bowl, beat sugar, gelatin and butter until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition. Mix flour and baking powder, and beat alternately with the milk into the sugar mixture. Fold in 1 teaspoon Vanilla and pureed strawberries. Divide equally into three 9 inch round cake pans.Bake 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in the pans, then remove from pans and cool completely.
Filling:
Beat whipping cream, 2 tablespoons sugar and 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla on high until stiff. Fill each layer with 1/3 of the whipped cream and 3/4 cup sliced strawberries.
Frosting:
Beat the margarine, Cream cheese, confectioners sugar and Vanilla until creamy. Spread over the sides of the cake, and pipe an edge of frosting around the top of the cake.
Spread remaining whipped cream on cake top. Top with quartered strawberries.

Old Fashioned Birthday Cake

2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon almond extract
3 eggs
Soften butter (can use margarine, but butter is delicious). Mix in sugar, add eggs, almond extract, then dry ingredients alternating with milk. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes. Grease and flour 8 or 9 inch round pans (x 2) or 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan.
